Festivalul International de Performance
I participated in the International Exhibition of
"Performance", Timisoara, 1992, for the
topic "The Earth" with "Reliquary -The
Truth's Knight". A "performance-installation"
consisting of stones collected in Valea Moarta the
Bucegi Mountains, the Black Sea and the Pathmos Island-
the Aegean Sea, where St. John the Evangelist wrote
the Apocalypse. I changed their arrangement every
day at sunrise, like in a Japanese garden, taking
another form, an occasion of deep meditation, a symbol
of a transcedental and Divine Truth's Knight that
repeatedly made his apparence in the course of time,
a solitary defeated by the Evil-Legion, by earthmen.
"Performance" and "installation"
at the same time, it was achieved in the decrepit
palace of the Art Museum in Timisoara, symbol of the
passage of time and the devastating Evil. |
Mai, 1993 - Galeria "First"
In the uproar of thoughts, men and saints carried me into another dimension during this "performance". I was within a space inhabited by all those I had represented. They were following my brush dipped into turpentine and bitumen and were coming.
A flow of men and saints were appering one after the other on the walls of the gallery in an exhibition of drawings that I had not known two days before. Everything had been flowing for two nights and one day almost like in a dictee. This "performance" was like a cry covered by accidental noises, a cry dissolved in the general chaos in which the saints are the first victims. Worn out by the drunkenness of birth, towards daybreak, I fell
asleep on the floor of the gallery. I had got free while dominating the crowd of characters I had created.
